BONE CANCER

There are many types of bone cancer, all of which are rare. In the UK, about 500 people get bone cancer every year. Secondary bone cancer (metastasis, eg from breast or prostate cancer) is more common. Signs and symptoms of concern are:

  • unexplained increasing or persistent bone pain
  • unexplained limp
  • suspected spontaneous fracture
  • palpable lump.
